January 12 - February 14, 2010
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
(location – Marbles Kids Museum)
Help feed the hungry - one can at a time... One Can Make a Difference in Our Community!
Canstruction is the most unique food drive in the world, and Canstruction Raleigh, at Marbles Kids Museum, will mark its 11th year in 2010.
In this creative food drive, exhibition and competition, Triangle architectural, engineering, design and construction firms exercise their structural genius to see which team can build the most spectacular structure using little more than full cans of food. All this design talent is put to the test to make a difference in the cause to fight hunger.
All food used in the building of these amazing structures is donated to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to help feed the hungry in our state. The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina has received nearly 270,000 pounds of food through Canstruction Raleigh since its inception in 1999.
Marbles Kids Museum will also accept donations of canned food during opening weekend, January 16-18, 2010. Visitors will receive one free admission to Marbles for every five items of canned food donated. Last year Marbles collected more than 4,000 pounds of food during opening weekend
